Welcome aboard The Abangane (“Friends”)—an 18-metre twin-hulled houseboat fully refurbished to offer a premium, air-conditioned charter experience on Lake Kariba.
Now moored at Pama Harbour on Kariba’s north-eastern shore, Abangane combines relaxed open-air safari living with top-tier modern comforts. Whether you are planning a family holiday, a tiger fishing expedition, or a peaceful cruise along the Matusadona shoreline, Abangane provides the ideal platform for an unforgettable water safari.

- 3 Fully Air-Conditioned Cabins: Completely redesigned for maximum comfort, including 1 Master En-Suite Cabin and carpeted flooring throughout.

- Fully Equipped Galley: Includes electric appliances, gas stove, multiple refrigerators, and deep freezers managed by our onboard chef.

- Enclosed Air-Conditioned Lounge: The spacious top deck is now fully enclosed with sleek glass sliding doors and dedicated air-conditioning—allowing you to enjoy breathtaking lake views in cool comfort during the heat of the day.

- Dining & Bar Area: Features a cozy meal counter, bar with bottle cooler, ice maker, and a large gas braai (barbeque) unit for outdoor dining under the stars.
- Deck Sleeping: Premium stretchers with thick mattresses, quality linen, and mosquito nets are provided for guests who love sleeping under the Kariba night sky.

- Passenger Capacity: Licensed for up to 15 passengers (12 guests recommended for maximum comfort) plus a dedicated crew of 3 to 4.
- Primary Tender Boat: Vixen 200HP Speedboat — A fast, high-performance tender for deep-water tiger fishing, swift transfers, and wildlife viewing.
- Auxiliary Tender Fleet: 2 Twin-Hulled Rafts equipped for quiet bay navigation, bird watching, and shallow-water fishing.

- 220V Power & Inverters: Generator power supplies continuous electricity for air-conditioning, refrigeration, deep freezers, hot water geysers, and media systems.
- Dedicated Crew: Our professional Captain, experienced Chef, and attentive Deckhands handle all navigation, gourmet meal preparation, and daily housekeeping so you can relax completely.

Guest Planning Information
- Boarding & Disembarkation: Embarkation begins at 12:00 PM (Noon) on your arrival date; disembarkation is prior to 09:00 AM on your departure date.
- What to Bring: Sun Protection (hats, sunscreen, insect repellent), light summer clothing, a warm fleece for cool winter evenings, personal medications, and your preferred fishing tackle.
National Parks Fees (Paid Upon Embarkation)
Note: National Parks entry and fishing fees are set by Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority and are payable directly to Parks officials prior to departure.
